Some business owners may not be aware that Google is rolling its new mobile friendly algorithm in the next month with an added ranking factor; page speed.
Right now page speed isn’t a ranking factor in Google search results which is why this is all the more interesting. The update (which hasn’t been given an exact date) also fits with the pattern of Google focusing on the user experience in its mobile update. It focuses on factors such as small texts and links being too close together.
When you have carried out the required work on your website for every 1 second of improvement, you will get up to 2% conversion increase. Which is pretty good!

Like the mobile update Google carried out last month, they have provided a ‘page speed analysis tool’. You can use this to test the speed of your website and gives you a list of suggestions on what to do to get your website up to speed and most importantly, to stop your business dropping down the rankings.
You can test your page speed here.
